MALACANAl'IfG MANILA ht\ F tJ (e,(q BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 218 AUTHORIZING THE SOUTHEAST ASIAN INSTITUTE FOR THE DEAF, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR) WHEREAS, the Southeast Asian Institute for the Deaf, Inc., in consonance with the government's appeal for vigo- rous efforts to improve the situation of the poor and thedisadvantaged, has accelerated its programs to prepare students to be independent contributing citizens; WHEREAS, the programs and projects of the Southeast Asian Institute for the Deaf, Inc. deserves full support of the various sectors of society; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of. the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Southeast Asian Institute for the Deaf, Inc., to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year, effective upon the promulgation of thisproclamation.
