DECLARING WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 1988, AS A SPECIAL HOLIDAY IN CALAMBA, LAGUNA,

WHEREAS, Wednesday, February 24, 1988, marks the 100th birth anniversary of General Vicente Lim, the first Filipino West Point graduate and Commanding General of the famed 41st Infantry Division, USAFEE, which was among the valiant defenders of Bataan during Worid War II; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the residents of Calamba, his birthplace, should at least be given full opportunity to celebrate the day with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philip- pines, by virtue of the powers vésted in me by law, do hereby declare Wednesday, February 24, 1988, as a Special Holiday in Calamba, Laguna.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I nave hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
