BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 226 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER "MANAGEMENT CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK" 6 TO 12, 1993, AS WHEREAS, the Philippine Council of Management (PHILCOMAN) is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political federa- tion of professional and technological societies, management development institutions, business enterprises, and profes- sional managers dedicated to the development of manage- ment and improvement of management practices in all aspects of Philippine Society; WHEREAS, PHILCOMAN will hold its 25th Management Congress on September 9 to 10, 1993, in Manila, on the theme "CREATING WORLD CLASS MANAGER FOR PHILIPPINES 2000"; WHEREAS, there is a need to promote management conscious-ness in both the public and private sectors to help achieve the development goals of the nation; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 6 to 12, 1993, as "Management Consciousness Week" under the auspices of the Philippine Council.of Management and other concerned organi-zations.
