PROCLAMATION NO. 2285

DECLARING SATURDAY, APRIL 16, 1983, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN MARIKINA, METROPOLITAN MANILA.

WHEREAS, the 353rd anniversary of the creation of the Municipality of Marikina falls on Saturday, April 16, 1983; and

WHEREAS, the people of municipality of Marikina should be afforded the opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their town’s history;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, April 16, 1983, as a special non-working holiday in the Municipality of Marikina, Metropolitan Manila.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 14th day of April, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-three.
