PROCLAMATION NO. 2289

PROCLAIMING THE CONVERSION OF THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICTS OF ADAMS, CARASI AND DUMALNEG, IN ILOCOS NORTE INTO REGULAR MUNICIPALITIES.

WHEREAS, Section 136 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 337 provides for the conversion of all existing municipal districts into municipalities;

WHEREAS, the people of said municipal districts desire that conversion of their districts into municipalities be announced immediately to enable their officials to work out the necessary organizational changes;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby proclaim the conversion of the municipal districts of Adams, Carasi and Dumalneg in Ilocos Norte into regular municipalities.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 16th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-three.
