I;]rA- (P4l) MAI.ACANANG Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION No.229 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 6 TO 12, 1993, AND EVERY SECOND WEEK OF SEPTEMBER THEREAFTER AS "STRATEGIC PLAN- NING AND MANAGEMENT WEEK" WHEREAS, the Corporate Planning Society of the Philip- pines (CPSP) was organized in 1983 to promote the profes- sionalization of strategic planning practice in the private and public sectors; WHEREAS, the CPSP has grown over the years with indi- vidual and corporate members representing top rate practi- tioners in the field of strategic planning and management; WHEREAS, the CPSP will celebrate its 10th year anni- versary on September 10, 1993, with special awarding cere-monies in Makati, Metro Manila, on the theme "Shaping Visions into Realities"; WHEREAS, there is a need to increase public awareness on the critical role that strategic planning and management play in attaining competitiveness in business and industry; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by vitue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 6 to 12, 1993, and every second week of September the"("eafter, as "Strategic Planning and Management Week" under the auspices of the Cor- porate Planning Society of the Philippines.
