DECLARING MONDAY, AUGUST 30, 1993, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN SAN JUAN, METRO MANILA WHEREAS, the 97th anniversary of the "Battle of Pinag-labanan", an important event in our struggle for freedom, falls on August 30, 1993; WHEREAS, said historical event is of special signifi- cance to the residents of San Juan, Metro Manila, where it took place; WHEREAS, the people of San Juan should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate the occasion with fitting ceremonies; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Monday, August 30, 1993, as a special day in San Juan, Metro Manila. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed. Done in the City of Manila, this 14Jrday of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and ninety three.
