BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 235

DECLARING TUESDAY, AUGUST 20, 2002, AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING DAY IN THE CITY OF LUCENA

WHEREAS, Tuesday, August 20, 2002, marks the 41‘ Charter Day anniversary of the City of Lucena;

WHEREAS, it is only proper to give the people of the City of Lucena full opportunity to commemorate the occasion with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book 1, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Tuesday, August 20, 2002, as a special non-working day in the City of Lucena.
