MALACANANG Manila Mp N &70 BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION No.243 DECLARING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1993, PAREDES DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ABRA AS DON QUINTIN WHEREAS, the lO9th birthday of the late Don QuintinParedes, statesman, jurist, parliamentarian, and an illus-trous son of Abra, falls on September 9, 1993; WHEREAS, it is desirable to focus attention on the life of the late Don Quintin Paredes as a fitting tribute to his unselfish efforts; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me bylaw, do hereby declare Thursday, September 9, 1993, as Don Quintin Paredes Day in the Province of Abra. The day,however, shall be a regular working and school day. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to beaffixed.
