Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 244

DECLARING THURSDAY, AUGUST 29, 2002, AS A SPECIAL NON- WORKING DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF COTABATO

WHEREAS, Thursday, August 29, 2002, marks the 88" Foundation Day anni- versary of the Province of Cotabato;

WHEREAS, it is fitting that the people of the Province of Cotabato be given full opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their province’s history with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Thursday, August 29, 2002, as a special non-working day in the Province of Cotabato.

IN WITNESS WHEREOPF, | have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
