PROCLAMATION NO. 245

DECLARING SATURDAY, 08 JULY 2023, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CARMONA, PROVINCE OF CAVITE

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 11938 which was approved on 23 February 2023 provides for the conversion of the Municipality of Carmona in the Province of Cavite into a component city to be known as the City of Carmona;

WHEREAS, Commission on Elections Resolution No. 10901 set the date of the plebiscite to ratify the conversion of the Municipality of Carmona into a component city on 08 July 2023;

WHEREAS, in order to give the people of the Municipality of Carmona the opportunity to actively and fully participate in the plebiscite and exercise their right to vote, it is but fitting and proper to declare 08 July 2023 as a special (non-working) day;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, LUCAS P. BERSAMIN, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Saturday, 08 July 2023, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Carmona, Province of Cavite.
