BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 249

EXTENDING THE NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN PERIOD OF THE UNITED WAY PHILIPPINES, INC., UP TO MARCH 31, 1989.

WHEREAS, the United Way Philippines, Inc., formerly Commu- nity Chests end Councils of the Philippines, Inc., was authorized under Proclamation No. 101, dated May 6, 1987, to conduct a national fund campaign during the period from April 1, 1987 to March 31, 1988; and

WHEREAS, the United Way Philippines, Inc., needs additional time to raise more funds for its laudable objectives.

NOW, THEREFORE, 1, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby extend the national fund cempaign period of the United Way Philippines, Inc., up to March 31, 1989,

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, | have hereunto set my hand ind caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
