BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 251”

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 12 TO 17, 2011, AS “PRINTING INDUSTRY WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Government recognizes the significant role of the printing industry in the economy through the recording, preserving and disseminating of knowledge and information;

WHEREAS, promoting an environment conducive to the growth and competitiveness of private enterprises, particularly Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), is a Key Result Area for Economic Development under Executive Order No. 43 (s. 2011); and

WHEREAS, the Printing Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PIAP) will simultaneously hold the 15" National Printers Convention and Print Philippines 2011 within the week of September 12 to 17, 2011, both of which will primarily benefit MSMEs.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BENIGNO S. AQUINO Ill, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 12 to 17, 2011, as “Printing Industry Week” under the auspices of PIAP.
