BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 260

DECLARING INITAO NATIONAL PARK AND PORTION OF INITAO- LIBERTAD MARINE WATERS SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF INITAO AND LIBERTAD, PROVINCE OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL AS A PROTECTED AREA AND ITS PERIPHERAL AREAS AS BUFFER ZONE PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT 7586 (NIPAS ACT OF 1992) AND SHALL BE KNOWN AS _sINITAO-LIBERTAD PROTECTED LANDSCAPE AND SEASCAPE

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to the powers vested upon me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL- ARROYO, President of the Philippines, do hereby set aside and declare Initao National Park and portion of Initao-Libertad Marine Waters situated in the Municipalities of Initao and Libertad, Province of Misamis Oriental as Protected Area and its peripheral areas as Buffer Zone under the category of Protected Landscape and Seascape, subject to private rights, and without prejudice to the right of the indigenous peoples as provided for in R.A. No. 8371, DENR Administrative Order 93-02 and other related rules and regulations, if any, as described in the DENR NIPAS Map No. RO-10-02.
