PROCLAMATION NO. 261

FURTHER. EXTENDING THE FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE BANTAYOG NG MGA BAYANI FOUNDATION, INC.

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 43, dated November 21, 1986, authorized the Bantayog Ng Mga Bayani Foundation, Inc. to conduct a fund campaign for a period of one year from November 21, 1986, which was extended by Proclamation No. 189, dated November 23, 1987, for six months or up to May 23, 1988; and

WHEREAS, the Foundation needs more time for the conduct of its drive tu attain’its fund goals;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby further extend the fund campaign of the Bantayog Ng Mga Bayani Foundation, Inc., up to December 31, 1988.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, | have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

PROCLAMATION NO. 262 apse

DECLARING THE FIRST.WEEK OF JUNE OF EVERY YEAR’ AS NATIONAL GOSPEL BROADCAST WEEK,

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the State enunciated in the Constitution that the government shall aid and encourage in the develépment of the moral character and personal discipline of the people;

@) . WHEREAS, certain activities pursued in the exercise of religious rreedom contribute to the attainment of this goal which should receive the encouragement and support of the government upon the condition that all religious sects shall be accorded the same privileges and opportunities; and

WHEREAS, Gospel Broadcasting, on radio or television, has been recognized as an excellent instrument to promote love of God and Country, develop moral character and personal discipline, and foster better understanding and unity among our people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, ‘do j hereby declare the first week of June of every year as National Gospel Broadcast Week, under the auspices of the Far East Broadcasting Company, Inc., and other organizations involved in Gospel proclamation.
