PROCLAMATION NO. 263

AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE OLYMPIC COMMITTEE TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FROM JUNE 1, 1988 TO MAY 30, 1989.

WHEREAS, the Philippine Olympic Committee intends to conduct a national ‘fund campaign to raise funds for its preparation for the Olympic Games in Seoul this September and for the Southeast Asia Games next year; and

WHEREAS, the Philippine Olympic Committee needs the support of the private and public sectors to realize its laudable objectives;

NOW; THEREFORE, 1, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Philippine Olympic Committee to conduct a national fund campaign for the period from June 1, 1988 to May 30, 1989.

| call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, irres- pective of nationality or creed, to give generously and participate actively in this campaign.

All gifts, bequests, donations and/or contributions to the . Committee shall be governed by the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 507, dated July 16, 1974.
