BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 271

DECLARING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER OF EVERY YEAR AS “PEOPLE MANAGEMENT MONTH”

WHEREAS, the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) will hold its 48° Annual Conference on 12 — 14 October 2011 , with the theme, “TAO MUNA, TAYO NA! THE HR MANDATE IN THE NEW WORLD”;

WHEREAS, the Conference brings together thousands of human resource and people managers, business executives, leaders from the academe, religious and government sectors to discuss trends and issues that impact on the management and development of the country’s human capital; and

WHEREAS, the Conference will also feature the implications of the changing environment on managing business, people and their behavior, as well as effective practices in people management.

NOW, THEREFORE, |, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the month of October of every year as “People Management Month.”

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, | have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
