MALA CAN ANG Manila "If Hrl BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO.2?3 AUTHORIZING THE NAYONG PILIPINO FOUNDATION, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR WHEREAS, the Nayong Filipino Foundation, Inc., is man- dated by law to establish, operate, and maintain public parks and recreation centers that shall showcase our rich cultural and historical heritage and promote tourism in this country; WHEREAS, considering the natural ravages of time andwear-and-tear have caused damage to and gradual, yet threat- ening, deterioration of the existing cottages, mini-parks, and other structural amenities of the Nayong Filipino Com-plex, it has become imperative that extensive maintenance and repair works be immediately instituted; WHEREAS, aware that the aforecited projects or activi- ties would entail enormous capital outlay, which can neither be substantially funded from current finances of the Nayong Filipino Foundation, Inc., nor from budgetary support from he National Government, it has become necessary to develop and tap new sources of operating funds, one expedient means of which is the possibility of holding a fund-raising cam-paign; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIPEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Nayong Pilipino Foundation, Inc., to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1)year, etive upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.
