BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 275

DECLARING FRIDAY, 11 AUGUST 2017, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF SAMAR

WHEREAS, on Friday. 11 August 2017, the Province of Samar marks the commemoration of its declaration as a province independent of Leyte and Cebu; and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Samar, be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare Friday, 11 August 2017, as a special (non-working) day in the Province of Samar.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, | have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
