BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO, 281

DECLARING FRIDAY, JULY 1, 1988, AS A SPECIAL HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF SOUTHERN LEYTE

WHEREAS, July 1, 1988 marks the 28th Charter Anniversary of the Province of Southern Leyte; and

WHEREAS, the residents in the said province should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their province's history with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by . law, do hereby declare Friday, July 1, 1988, as a special holiday in the Province of Southern Leyte.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
