BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PLILIPPINES MPN QYR PROCLAMATION NO. 2.2

DECLARING SATURDAY, APRIL 21, 2001, AS A SPECTAL DAY IN THE MUNICTIPALEEY OF MALABON, MIEEFRO MANILA

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 9019 dated March 3. 2001, provides for the con: version of the Municipality of Malabon, Metro Manila into a highly urbanized city to be known as the City of Malabon and mandates the holding of plebiscite for the ratification thereod

WHEREAS, the Commission on Elections has scheduled the plebiscite day for the ratification of the conversion of the said municipality on Saturday, April 21. 2001;

WHEREAS, to cnable the residents of the said municipality to actively participate in the scheduled political exercise. there is a need to declare the plebiscite day as aspecial day,

NOW, THEREFORE, 1, GLORIA] MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines. by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday.

April 2. 2001. as a special day in the Municipality of Malabon, Metro Manila.
