~ () 770 MALACANA N{J Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 291 ESTABLISHING AS AD LAY WATERSHED FOREST RESERVE FOR PURPOSES OF PROTECTION, MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT OF ITS WATER YIELD AND TO PROVIDE RESTRAINING MECHANISM FOR INAPPRO- PRIATE FOREST EXPLOITATION AND DISRUPTIVE LAND-USE, A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CARRASCAL, PROVINCE OF SURIGAO DEL SUR, ISLAND OF MINDANAO Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, Presient of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from entry, sale, disposition, or settlement and set aside as Adlay Watershed Forest Reserve, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to the operations of previous proclamations reserving any portion thereof for spe- cific purposes, and to the implementation of socially-oriented projects and other forestry development programs consistent with the objectives of the proclamation as maybe determined by the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, a cer- tain parcel of land of the public domain located in the Muni- cipality of Carrascal, Province of Surigao del Sur, as shown in the Forest Management Bureau Map No. 109 with the follow- ing descriptions: Beginning at corner "1" on the map is cm. dia. mancono at the South bank of Marga River and about 545 meters from the junction of Marga River and a tributary; Thence following Marga River downstream in a Northeast Southeast direction, 694 meters to corner 2, Duyok-duyok, 50 cms. diameter; Thence S 31oW,diameter; 375 meters to corner 3, Apitong, 30 cms. Thence S 30oW,diameter; 115 meters to corner 4, Yakal, 20 croSe Thence Due West, 235 meters to corner 5, Red Lauan, 20cms. diameter; Thence S 40oW,diameter; 160 meters to corner 6, Red Lauan, 15 croSe / Adlay Watershed Forest Reserve Carrascal, Surigao del Sur x x 2 - Thence N 17°W, 183 meters to corner 7, Red Lauan, 24 cms. diameter; Thence N 33°E, 650 meters to corner 1, the point of beginning, containing an area of TWENTY SEVEN (27) HECTARES, more or less. The area covered by the reservation shall be under the administrative jurisdiction, supervision and control of the Department of Environment and Nural Resources through its Forest Management Bureau in coordination with other agencies of the government with the objective of maintaining its use- fulness as a source of water for domestic use and other forestry purposes.
