DECLARING CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE COASTAL AREAS OF THE MUNICIPALITIES OF LAVEZARES, ROSARIO, SAN LOSE, BIRI AND NEIGHBOURING ISLANDS SUCH AS BANI, SAN. JUAN, GILBERT, CABUNGON: GRANDE AND BIRI ISLANDS AND ITS SURROUNDINGS REEFS, PROVINCE OF NORTHERN SAMAR, ISLAND OF VISAYAS AS PROTECTED AREA PURSUANT TO R. A. 7586 (NIPAS ACT OF 1992) AND SHALL BE KNOWN AS BIRI LAROSA PROTECTED LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, and pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, do hereby set aside and declare the coastal areas of the municipalities of Lavezares, Rosario, San Jose, Biri and the neighboring islands such as Bani, San Juan, Gilbert, Cabungon Grande and Biri Islands and its surrounding reefs, Province of Northern Samar, Island of Visayas as protected area under the category of protected Landscape/Seascape, subject to private rights if any, as described in DENR NIPAS Map No. R8-11.

Beginning from point 1 which is 12°32°12” N latitude, 124°19°42”E longitude

to point 2; thence 12°33°30” N latitude, 124°17°45"E longitude to point 3; thence 12°35°00” N latitude, 124°17°30"E longitude to point 4; thence 12°37°05” N latitude, 124°20°35”E longitude to point 5; thence. 12°42°14” N latitude, 124°20°37"E longitude to point 6; thence 12°42°00” N latitude, 124°24°34"E longitude to point 7: thence 12°33714” N latitude, 124°32°18"E longitude to point §; thence 12°31°35” N latituJe, 124°30°25”E longitude to point 1.

Containing an, approximate area of Thirty-Three Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-Two (33,492) Hectares, subject to actual ground survey.

• These areas shall be under the administrative jurisdiction of the DENK and shall be administered in accordance with the provisions of the NIPAS Act of 1992.
