PROCLAMATION NO. 291

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 190 DATED APRIL 29, 2002, WHICH CREATED AND DESIGNATED CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND OF THE - PRIVATE DOMAIN SITUATED AT BARANGAY CANNERY, MUNICIPALITY OF POLOMOLOK, PROVINCE OF SOUTH COTABATO AS SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7916 AS AMENDED BY REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8748

Upon recommendation of the Director General of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, 1, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby amend Paragraph 1 of Proclamation No. 190 dated April 29, 2002 to read as follows:

“Pursuant to the powers vested in me under Republic Act No. 7916 (The Special Economic Zone Act of 1995), as amended by Republic Act No. 8748, 1, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, do hereby create and designate as Special Economic Zone, pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 7916, as amended, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and Resolution No. 99-341 dated 17 December 1999 of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, certain parcels of land situated in the Municipality of Polomolok, Province of South Cotabato, with an aggregate area of SIX HUNDRED NINE THOUSAND SIXTY THREE (609,063) SQUARE METERS, x x x’

Except for the above amendment, all other provisions of said Proclamation No. 190 dated April 29, 2002 remain in full force and effect.
