BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO, 204 PROCLAIMING A STATE GF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN CERTAIN AREAS IN THE : COUNTRY WHICH WERE AFFECTED BY TYPHOON "HUANING." WHEREAS, typhoon “Huaning" inflicted great damage and des-
truction to life and property in certain areas in the country; and
WHEREAS, a state of public calamity exists jn these areas arising from the effects of the typhoon.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philip- pines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby pro- claim that a state of public calamity exists in the following areas In the country:
Region I - Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Benguet and Mt. Province
Region 11 - Cagayan, Kalinga-Apayao, Isabela, Nueve Vizcaya and Quirino Al) departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute rescue, relief and rehabi- litation work im accordance with existing operational plans and the directive and order issued in connection with calamities.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my fand and caused the séal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
