PROCLAMATION NO. 294

DECLARING MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2002 AS A SPECIAL DAY IN DUMAGUETE CITY

WHEREAS, under Republic Act No. 7253, the 24" of November of every year has been declared as a special day in Dumaguete City, to commemorate its Charter Day;

WHEREAS, for this year, November 24 falls on a Sunday, a non-working day;

WHEREAS, it is only proper to give the people of Dumaguete City full opportunity to commemorate the occasion with fitting ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Monday, November 25, 2002, as a special day in Dumaguete City.
