Y1IfrJ 8>l>~ MALACANANG Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 302 STATE OF CALAMITY IN-THE CALUANG, PROVINCE OF SULU DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A MUNICIPALITY OF KALINGALAN WHEREAS, according to the Secretary of NationalDefense, as Chairman of the National Disaster CoordinatingCouncil, The Municipality of Kalingalan Caluang, Province of Sulu, was adversely affected by the intermittent armed conflict between two warring clans thereat; WHEREAS, the declaration of a state of calamity is necessary for the immediate implementation of the rehabilitation program in the area: NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby declare the existence of a state of calamity in the Municipality of Kalingalan- Caluang, Province of Sulu.
