BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 315

DECLARING TUESDAY, AUGUST 30, 1988, AS "MARCELO H. DEL PILAR DAY" IN THE PROVINCE OF BULACAN.

WHEREAS, Marcelo H. del Filar, our hero and patriot who used the nom de de plume of "Plaridel" in his struggles in Spain ¢o obtain reforms for the Philippines during the Spanish regime, was born in Bulacan, Bulacan, on August 30, 71850; and

WHEREAS, the people of the Province of Bulacan should be given full opportunity to celebrate Plaridel' Ss birthday with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. A UINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, August 30, 1938, as "Marcelo H. del Pilar Day" in the Province of Bulacan.
