PROCLAMATION NO. 32°

OVIDING FOR A NATION-WIDE CAMPAIGN 20 RAIS# FUNDS FOR THz ERECTION OF A NATIONAL MONUMENT IN HONOR OF THE LATE RESIDENT MANUEL L. QUEZON.

: WHERZAS, Menuel L. Quezon, the late President of the nilippines, dedicated his life and labors to the service of is country; and

WHEREAS, in recognition of the great services which the ate President Quezon rendered to his country and people, it is but fitting and proper that a national monument be erected in his honor;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SERGIO OSMENA, President of the Phil- ippines, do hereby proclaim a nation-wide campaign to raise funds for the srection of a national monument in honor of the date President Manuel BL. Quezon, and, for this purpose, de- signate January 2, 1946, as the date for the commencement of his campaign until a total of at least $250,000.00 shall

have been raised. :

Tt enjoin all citizens and residents of the Philippines 0 give the Quezon Memorial Committee created by Executive Order No.79 their full support and co-operation, ZT also i direct all treasurers of the National, provincial, and munic- ipal governments and of chartered cities to accept voluntary contributions and to issue official receipts thereof.
