AUTHORIZING THE SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGES PHILIPPINE TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR

WHEREAS, SOS Children’s Villages Philippines is a duly registered non-stock and non-profit social welfare organization providing family-oriented care and education of orphaned and socially abandoned children to promote the individual child’s care, support, security, welfare and the fuller development of their physical, intellectual, social, moral and spiritual well-being;

WHEREAS, SOS Children’s Villages Philippines has faithfully and steadily pur- ee sued its initial goals and development for the last 33 years thereby benefiting hundreds of children in the various Children’s Villages and supporting youth facilities in Calbayog, ° Cebu, Davao, Lipa, Manila and Tacloban; °.

WHEREAS, by virtue of this long standing service to community, now our Country benefits from the transformed and changed lives of the SOS integrated and : independent children thereby making them productive citizens and practiced members of : society;

WHEREAS, to effectively carry out its noble objectives and successfully imple- -° ment its program, the organization needs the financial and moral support of the public. 7

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the ee Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the SOS ee Children’s Villages Philippines to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year effective upon the promulgation of this proclamation.
