[ Proclamation No. 357, February 27, 1968 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM APRIL 1 TO 7 1968, AS “TAX CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK”.

WHEREAS, it is the civic obligation and patriotic duty of every citizen to pay his just taxes promptly; and

WHEREAS, there is need of instilling among our citizenry greater consciousness of their obligation and underscoring the taxpayer’s role in economic progress and nation-building;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare the period from April 1 to 7, 1968, as “tax consciousness week” under the auspices of the Department of Finance.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 27th day of February, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-eight.
