[ Proclamation No. 358, March 1, 1968 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 1 TO OCTOBER 31, 1963 AS FIRE PREVENTION CONSCIOUSNESS PERIOD.

WHEREAS, the International Fire Chiefs’ Association of Asia will hold its first conference in Quezon City in October 1968; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable that public attention be focused on the importance of fire prevention in national development;

NOW THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from March 1 to October 31, 1968, as Fire Prevention Consciousness Period.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 1st day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-eight.
