DECLARING THURSDAY, AUGUST 31, 2000, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE CITY OF LIPA

WHEREAS, Thursday, August 31, 2000, marks the 53rd Foundation Day anni- versary of the City of Lipa;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of the City of Lipa be given full opportunity to celebrate this event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book L, Chapter 7, Section 27 of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Thursday, August 31. 2000, as a special day in the City of Lipa.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
