BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 359

DECLARING 15-20 APRIL 2012 AS THE “PURCHASING AND SUPPLY MANAGEMENT WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute for Supply Management (PISM), is a non- stock, non-profit organization of purchasing and materials managers of the country’s top corporations;

WHEREAS, purchasing and materials managers and PISM help upgrade the quality and competitiveness of Philippine goods and services for both the domestic and foreign markets;

WHEREAS, it is desirable that the important role played by the purchasing and materials managers in commerce and industry be brought to the attention of the people; and

WHEREAS, the PISM will hold SUPPLYLINK2012, with the theme “Tomorrow’s Supply Chain in a Value-Driven Global Economy”.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BENIGNO S. AQUINO, III, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare 15-20 April 2012 as the “Purchasing and Supply Management Week”.
