PROCLAMATION NO. 361

DECLARING MONDAY, 24 DECEMBER 2012, AS A SPECIAL (NON- WORKING) DAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY

WHEREAS, Monday, 24 December 2012 falls between Sunday, 23 December 2012 and Tuesday, 25 December 2012 (Christmas Day), which is a regular holiday throughout the country;

WHEREAS, the declaration of 24 December 2012 as a special (non-

working) day will give the people full opportunity to celebrate Christmas with their family and loved ones;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BENIGNO S. AQUINO Ill, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare

Monday, 24 December 2012, as a special (non-working) day throughout the country.

The Department of Labor and Employment is hereby directed to issue appropriate circular to implement this Proclamation for the private sector.
