DECLARING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2003, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN BISLIG CITY

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 8804 dated August 19, 2000, which was ratified on September 18, 2000, provides for the conversion of the Municipality of Bislig into a component city to be known as the City of Bislig;

WHEREAS, Thursday, September 18, 2003, marks the 3 Charter Day anniversary of the City of Bislig;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of the City of Bislig be given full opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their city’s history with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALBERTO G. ROMULO, Executive Secretary, by order of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Thursday, September 18, 2003, as a special day in the City of Bislig.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
