DECLARING 2003 AS THE CENTENNIAL YEAR OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MATI, PROVINCE OF DAVAO ORIENTAL

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Mati, Davao Oriental will celebrate its Centennial Year on October 29, 2003;

WHEREAS, there is a need to recognize the significance of this date and year which marks the founding of the town and likewise recall to memory its creation by virtue of Organic Act No. 21, with appropriate celebration;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare 2003 as the Centennial Year of the Municipality of Mati.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
