PROCLAMATION NO. 400

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2000, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF OCCIDENTAL MINDORO

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 505, was enacted by the Congress of the Philip- pines in the year 1950, declaring Occidental Mindoro as a separate and independent province;

WHEREAS, Wednesday, November 15, 2000, marks the 50" Foundation Day anniversary of the Province of Occidental Mindoro;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Occidental Mindoro be given full opportunity to commemorate this event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Wednesday, November 15, 2000, as a special day in the Province of Occidental Mindoro.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
