BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. $03

AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE CANCER SOCIETY, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL, MEMBERSHIP AND FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR

WHEREAS, the Philippine Cancer Society, Inc., was authorized under Proclama- tion No. 188 dated October 1, 1999, to conduct a national fund campaign for the period from October 1, 1999 to October 1, 2000;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Cancer Society, Inc., is currently implezaenting. a massive information and education campaign aimed at making our people more cancer conscious, so that, alerted in time concerning the symptoms of this dreaded disease, those afflitted may seek immediate treatment:

WHEREAS, in order to effectively carrv out its noble objectives, the society needs the financial and moral support of the public:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines. by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Philip- pine Cancer Society. Inc.. to conduct a national educational, membership and fund campaign for a period of one (1) vear effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.
