BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES MFA 9726 PROCLAMATION NO. 404

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2000, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ORIENTAL MINDORO

WHEREAS, Onental Mindoro was founded on November 15, 1950 by virtue of Republic Act No. 505 when Mindoro Island was politically divided into two provinces: Oriental and Occidental Mindoro;

WHEREAS, Wednesday, November 13, 2000, marks the 50" Foundation Day anniversary of the Province of Oriental Mindoro;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Oriental Mindoro be given the opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines. by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book 1, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Wednesday. November 15, 2000, as a special day in the Province of Oriental Mindoro.
