MALACANANG RESIDENCE "OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES MANILA BY" THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION No. 415 AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE TUBERCULOSIS SOCIETY, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND AND EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGN DURING THE PEROD FROM AUGUST 19 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 1965. WHEREAs/tuberculosis is a debilitating disease that saps the vitality bf the Filipino people aId decreases their productivity at this time of expanding industrialization; W.HEREAS, for the last fifty-five years the Philippine "Tu­ berculosis Society, Inc. has been of immense" help to the " Government in l.ts crusade against the White Plague, there­ by bringing relief and hope to countless TB victims; and WHEREAS, it is only through the unstinted moral and financial support of our people that the Philippine Tuber­ c.ulosis Society, Inc. can continue to maintin and intensify its health services for the benefit of the public; Now, therefore, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorized the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. to conduct its National Fund and Educational Cam­ paign dlring the period from August 19 to September 30, 1965. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philip­ pines irrespective of nationality or creed, to give generously of their means so that we may protect ourselves and our children from a dreadful disease. Likewise, I authorize all the treasurers of the provincial, city and municipal governments, as well as school officials to accept fund­ raising responsibilities for the Philippine Tuberculosis "Society, Inc.
