MALAUANANG RESIDENCE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION No. 41~ DECLARING JULY 17, 1965, AS BLOOD DONOR'S DAY WHEREAS, the Philippine National Red Cross Blood Pro­ gram has unmistakably contributed much in the promotion of general health, the mitigation of human suffering and the saving of human lives; and 'WHEREAS, it is fitting that a Day be set aside on which to dedicate our noblest thoughts and manifest our appre-

  • ciation to the thousands of blood donors throughout the country who by sharing part of their life in order that others may live, form the mainstay of the Blood Program; Now, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare July 17, 1965, as Blood Donor's day. I call upon all people to turn their noblest thoughts on the thousands of blood donors in the country whose unselfish contribution to the cause of the Red -Cross movement is beyond reproach and to follow the precepts of their -noble examples for the welfare of humanity. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
