PROCLAMATION NO. 429-A

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 429 ISSUED ON DECEMBER 21, 2000, ENTITLED “CALLING THE CONGRESS OF THE PHILIPPINES TO A SPECIAL SESSION”

Pursuant to the powers vested in me by the Constitution, 1, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, do hereby call the Congress of the Philippines to a Special Session from January 8 to 12, 2001 to urgently consider the passage of the following vital legislative measures on:

¢ Elevating the Rank of Court of Tax Appcals;

¢ Amending the Tariff Rates on Various Tariff Headings Under Section 104 of the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines;

¢ Shift of Customs Valuation; and

@ Optimum Revenue Performance Through Lateral Attrition,

in addition to the vital legislative measures enumerated in Proclamation No. 429 issued on December 21, 2000. ,

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
