DECLARING FRIDAY, JANUARY 12, 2001, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF VALENCIA, PROVINCE OF BUKIDNON

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 8985 provides for the conversion of the Muni- cipality of Valencia, Bukidnon into a component city to be known as the City of Valencia . and mandates‘the holding of plebiscite for the ratification thereof;

WHEREAS, the Commission on. Elections, in its Resolution No. 3465 dated : January 9, 2001, has scheduled the plebiscite day for the ratification of the conversion of ‘ the said municipality on Friday, January 12, 2001;

WHEREAS, to enable the residents of the said municipality to actively participate in the scheduled political exercise, there is a need to declare the plebiscite day as a special :
