~ ~ - MALACANAN~Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 433 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM AUGUST 1 TO 7 OF EVERY RURAL ELECTRIFICATION WEEK YEAR AS WHEREAS, R.A. 6038 was enacted on August 4, 19-- claring a National Policy objective for the Electrification of the Philippines on an areabasis; 69, de- Total coverage WHEREAS, R.A. 6038 provided for the creation and esta- blishme-nt of an agency that would carry out the mission and objectives of said Act to be called the Nation3l Electrification Administration (NEA); WHEREAS, the same Act mandated the organization, promo- tion and development of Electric Cooperatives; WHEREAS, the Rural Electrification Program as en-visioned by R.A. 6038 as amended by P.o. No. 269 and P.o.No. 1645 has grown by leaps and bounds over the past twenty- five (25) years, through the effort.s of the Electric Coc.>peratives and the National ElectrificationAdministration; WHEREAS, the pioneering and continuing meritorious achievements of the men and women of the Elf!ctric Coopera- ti,'es and of the National Electrification Administration have to be rec'ognized; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V.
