M~#N MALACANAN6' Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 44 AUTHORIZING THE ALAY SA KAWAL FOUNDATION, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL, MEMBERSHIP AND FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR .WijEREAS, the Alay Sa KawaI Foundation, Inc. is a non-s}ock, non-profit entity organized by civilians for the purpOse of extending financial assistance to families of enlisted personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines kled or permanently incapacitated in combat; . WHEREAS, the Foundation has proven to be an effective auxiliary to the Government in bringing about reconciliation and mutual respect between the civilians and the military by providing cont\nuing financial assistance and moral boost to the'soldiers and their families; WHEREAS, the laudable objective of the Foundationdeserves the support of every civic-spirited citizen and resident of the Philippines. NOW, THEREFORE, I. FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law,do hereby authorize the Alay Sa KawaI Foundation, Inc.. to conduct a nationwide membership and fund campaign for aperiod of one year effective upon the promulgation of thisproclamation. For this purpose, all donations, bequests and gifts received by the Alay Sa KawaI Foundation, Inc., for the implementation of its programs and activities shall be entitled to all the tax exemption and deductibility bene- fits provided in the appropriate provisions of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended, and its implementingrules and regulations.
