/' MALACANANG RESIDENCE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION No. 445 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM AUGUST 1965 TO JULY 1975 AS PHILIPPINE FORESTRY DEVE­ LOPMENT DECADE. Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by law, and realizing the need for the people to keep alive an awareness of the importance of our forests and their development and preservation in the sustained socio-eco­ nomic growth of the country, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the decade from August 1965 to July 1975 as Philippine Forestry Development Decade. The Committee on Wood Industries Development under the Office of the President as constituted under Executive Order No. 138,c.s., is charged wIth the additional function and responsibility of drafting and implementing policies intended to make the Forestry Development Decade fruit­ ful and effective.
