MALACANANG RESIDENCE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION No. 447 DECLARING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 1965, AS EROPA DAY WHEREAS, the Philippines is the host country to the forth­ coming Asian Consultative Conference on Foreign Service Development jointly sponsored by the Philippine Govern­ ment and the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA) to be held in Manila from Sep .. tember 27 to October 3, 1965; WHEREAS, since its organization in 1960 the EROP A has been an effective instrument for bringing about good gov­ ernment among the member countries and in fostering re­ gional cooperation in the field of public administration; and WHEREAS, it is fitting to give due recognition to the role of EROP A and to its contribution to national progress; Now, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by.law, do hereby declare Monday, September 27, .1965, as EROPA Day. IN WI'l'NESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
