[ Proclamation No. 452, August 27, 1968 ]

DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 30, 1968 AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BULACAN.

WHEREAS, Marcelo H. del Pilar, our hero and patriot who used the nom de plume of “Plaridel” in his struggles in Spain to obtain reform for the Philippines during the Spanish regime, was born in Bulacan, Bulacan, on August 30, 1859; and

WHEREAS, the people of Bulacan should be given full opportunity to celebrate Plaridel’s birthday the fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Friday, August 30, 1968, as a special public holiday in the province of Bulacan.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippine to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 27th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-eight.
