MALACANANG Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 457 DECLARING TUESDAY, AUGUST 30, JUAN, METRO MANILA 1994, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN SAN WHEREAS, the 98th anniversary of the "Battle ofPinaglabanan", an important event in our struggle for freedom, falls on August 30, 1994; WHEREAS, said historical event is of special significance to the residents of San Juan, Metro Manila, where it tookplace; WHEREAS, the people of San Juan should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate the occasion with fitting ceremonies; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Book I,Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Tuesday, August 30, 1994, as a special day in San Juan, Metro Manila.
